On May 4th a handful of MCC members attended the GTCCC Education Day. This was an outstanding value-packed day for beginner, intermediate and advanced photographers.
We were treated to top-notch presenters: Tony Hauser on portrait photography, Bill Potter on wildlife, Struan on fashion and Richard Lautens on sports. All the presenters delivered worthwhile advice that you can adopt and their messages were supported by eye-stopping images. The breakout sessions were numerous and I opted for an introduction to NIK software, a hands on demo of a studio model shoot and a comprehensive review of flash techniques.
The GTCCC Education Day filled our thirst for photographic info and also fed us great food all day. Don't miss the next one in a year from now.

WOW!!!! you people did a fantastic day!
We all enjoyed it!!!!!
Speakers were so varied and so upbeat.....even if it was not your 'BAG', just their enthusiasm wanted us to go out a shoot!
Speakers that I attended were 9 to 10 and 95% of them on the high end! Thanks so much for all of your organization and making it work and going so smoothly
AWESOME, GUYS......your efforts need to be so commended......great day!

Great speakers, nice and friendly audience, terrific Tim Hortons coffee and muffins in abundance. Very well organized would go again. Nice door prizes especially the 2 complete NIK packages given away.

Outstanding event. My congratulations on very well organized and wonderful event, I'm so glad that I could be a part of it. Those that didn't make it, next year is a must.

Hi Harvey, just letting you know I signed up for the 'Capturing Light and Shadow' seminar. Looks like a very good event, well thought out and organized.

Harvey did a great job on keeping everything on time and there were no equipment hitches or delays
The speakers I attended were top notch, knew their subject and communicated very well. The price was right. I hope GTCCC does this again next year.
My only suggestion would be to have shorter times between the speakers unless of course there is a larger number of suppliers.

We both enjoyed the event, good speakers timing was great with no overruns. Lunch and muffins in the morning before the event was great. Would go if it runs again, depending on speakers and topics
Suggestions : don't run it in May weather too nice to spend the day indoors. Run it mid April or November One day better than two days. Location is good, but I don't know what they would do for a a keynote if the had more than 70 people the room today was jam packed.

I found the Day very well planned and executed. Great value for the price. I intend to promote this event more aggressively next year. Especially with the newer members.
I am not in favour of combining the Interclub Competition with Education Day if the Ed day follows the same or similar format as this year. On reflection I believe they are 2 separate programs with a different audience. The Ed Day is quite long and I noticed some of the attendees were becoming tired. I think they would find an additional 3 hours too much. Perhaps a different format for both would make that concept feasible but it would also take something away from both. Just my thoughts. I would like to say that you did a very professional job with chairing both events. Congratulations and thank you for your hard work in putting these events together.
